Technical Skills are the foundation upon which other aspects of the game can be built on. We believe that all the other pillars of the game (Physical, Mental, Tactical) are built on a skills foundation. If the skills foundation is weak all other parts of the game will collapse. Skills supports the tactical, physical, and mental parts of the game.
7-12 is the "Golden Age of Learning". Skills are best learned from ages 7-12. It doesn't mean that skills can't be developed after that. At these ages, if you repeat an action many times often enough you could get a learning that could be permanent. Enough correct repetition leads to the motor engram being permanently engrained in your "Muscle Memory". Repetition will lead to permanent mastery.
Hard work is as important, if not more important than talent. Players have to work hard, practice hard, do a lot of practice. Players need to work hard to be the best player they can be.
We aim to improve performance with specific goals, focused effort, feedback, repetition, and gradual increase in difficulty. Excellence requires intentional, deliberate practice that progressively increases in difficulty as proficiency improves.
We believe that the ultimate success of any system, tactic or team depends on the individual quality of the player and small group play. We start with the individual and then move to the team.
